Special Interest Group (SIG) Facilitators Description

SIG Facilitators assist NANN members with special interests to establish contact with each other, to create networks for special focus, and to work collaboratively with each other and the SIG Director-At-Large to accomplish mutual goals that support the strategic plan of the association. The SIG Facilitators report to the SIG Director-At-Large on the NANN Board of Directors. SIG Facilitator responsibilities include the following:

  1. Stimulate and facilitate discussions on the NANN SIG listservs™
  2. Create and maintain the SIG Webpages
  3. Write articles for NANN’s Central Lines™ (2 x’s/year maximum)
  4. Attend NANN’s Annual Conference to chair his/her SIG’s networking roundtable
  5. Participate in 1-2 teleconferences/year
  6. Meet briefly with other facilitators and the SIG Director-At-Large at NANN’s Annual Conference

Qualifications

  1. Current member in good standing.
  2. Must have the ability to devote 1-4 hours a month to duties and responsibilities.
  3. Currently involved in neonatal nursing care through clinical practice, education, research, or consultation.
  4. Must have access to the Internet.
