The NICU Clinical Manager is accountable for excellence in leadership and management in a two-hospital system.  Our Central Location has 60 beds and our North location has 4 beds.  Our Central location has combined Level II/III NICU with NNP and Pediatrics support. Serves southern Colorado with ground and rotor/fixed wing transport. BSN, at least three years level III NICU clinical experience with proven managerial skills.  Manages human, fiscal and other resources as needed, directs and supervises all functions and activities, implements and interprets performance improvement monitors and outcomes, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public. Functions as an expert not only as a professional resource to the hospital and community but also in clinical practice within the NICU. Construction and work flow design experience desired. Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs).

NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist

This specialist provides clinical leadership to the Neonatal ICU by developing standards of practice, policies and procedures to support changes in nursing practice, care programs and clinical innovations. In this role, you will work toward achieving improved patient/family outcomes, review clinical care and provide expertise for high-risk/low-volume patients, and participate in outcomes research. You will go on patient rounds in a variety of settings, conduct systematic reviews, and develop and evaluate specialty education programs for patients, families, and the nursing staff.

A clinical master’s degree in nursing is required, as is California clinical nurse specialist certification in neonatology and a current California RN license. You must also have a current CPR certificate and three years’ experience in a level III NICU. Clinical nurse specialist experience is preferred.
