We are currently seeking neonatal nurse practitioners to join our group practice at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD). CHaD is the children's hospital associated with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, a tertiary academic center in rural New Hampshire. We are located midway between Boston and Montreal, serving New Hampshire and southern Vermont. Nurse practitioners are eligible for faculty appointment at Dartmouth Medical School.
In collaboration with the Director of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Nursery, NNPs are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides specialized medical care to high risk neonates and their families. In addition, they serve as team leaders for high risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitations and transports. Opportunities exist to participate as faculty for workshops, seminars, and presentations to other professionals; precept nurse practitioner students and pediatric house staff; support and participate in quality improvement initiatives; and develop or be involved in research projects. Our NNPs have lectured at local, regional, national and international conferences, published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals, and participated in international neonatal health improvement projects.
Applicants must be eligible for RN and ARNP licensure in the State of New Hampshire. Experience in a level III neonatal intensive care unit as a staff RN or nurse practitioner is preferred.

Our 38-bed unit provides Level II and Level III care to the smallest babies in the state. Members of this team demonstrate strong critical thinking skills as applied to patient assessment. The NNP manages the neonatal patient case load with consultation, collaboration and general supervision from a physician while utilizing the extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacy and physiology.
