NICUniversity is a Web-based medical education center for nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, offering continuing education (CE) credits through the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

The NICUniversity mission is to be an educational and informational resource for neonatologists and other members of the neonatology health care team.

NICUniversity delivers:
• Access to lectures by internationally-recognized expert faculty.
• Continuing medical education and CE on topics that can improve patient management and outcomes.
• Timely and relevant, unbiased, and balanced educational information critical to the care of neonatal patients.
NANN and NICUniversity.org have partnered to create the Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Corner on www.NICUniversity.org, which provides timely, relevant, and diverse CE to meet the needs of neonatal nurses at all levels and in all roles. Lecture topics that have been posted as a result of cooperation between NANN and NICUniversity include pain, respiratory, nutrition, sepsis, pathophysiology of NPO, cue-based feeding, heart failure, PDA management, speaking to parents, and necrotizing enterocolitis.

Other features offered on the site are News and Views with articles about discoveries, innovations, studies in the field of neonatology, a resource center that contains links to other sites, and a calendar of events.  The NICUniversity site will continually evolve, being as dynamic as the nurses in our field and the practice of neonatal nursing itself!
