As a clinical nursing director of the NICU it is critical to understand the perceptions of our nurses related to resilience, turnover intention, and the environment in which clinical nurses practice. Results from this study will be used to inform the need to review clinical practice environments. With nurses making up the largest healthcare workforce, maintenance of a healthy work environment is critical.

Defining Neonatal Serious Illness

We are interested in defining neonatal serious illness for the purposes of research, palliative care consultation, and improvement in care for seriously ill neonates. We would like to incorporate the perspectives of all members of the interdisciplinary NICU team as well as of parents in order to create a meaningful definition for future use.
