National Certification Corporation (NCC)

NCC is a not for profit organization that provides a national credentialing program for nurses, physicians and other licensed health care personnel.  Certification is awarded to nurses in the obstetric, gynecologic, neonatal and telephone nursing specialties and certificates of added qualification are awarded in the subspecialty areas of electronic fetal monitoring, breastfeeding, gynecologic health care and menopause.

Certification for Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current licensure as an RN in the U.S. or Canada
  • Successful completion of a formal nurse practitioner program that prepares neonatal nurse practitioners and awards either a Master's degree in the specialty or a post-Master's in the specialty
  • You must be a graduate of a program in 2005 or later to be eligible.
