The United States leads the world in neonatal expertise and many countries are asking to spend time with American nursing delegations. Via the People to People Ambassador Program's Neonatal Nursing Delegation to China, we hope to share with Chinese nurses our knowledge of

  • neonatal resuscitation
  • asphyxia
  • developmental care
  • skin to skin care
  • hyperbilirubinemia
  • thermoregulation
  • family centered care
  • and other important topics that impact the outcomes for critically ill patients and their families.

Consider sharing your expertise with your Chinese colleagues. This opportunity will change your professional life and expand your horizons and will allow you to develop relationships with colleagues around the country as well as around the world. Together we can begin to assist other countries by sharing what we know and, in turn, learning from them as well.

Contact Hours Available

24.6 contact hours of continuing nursing education are provided by the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing (provider number 009-3-E-04). The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. People to People Ambassador Programs is also an organizational affiliate of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, which also supports the learning and professional development of nurses.

Cost per Delegate

As People to People Ambassador Programs is a private-citizen effort, delegates are responsible for their own program costs. The estimated cost per delegate or guest is $4,995 USD (departing from and returning to Los Angeles). This includes round-trip airfare from the departure city, group transportation, meetings and cultural activities, accommodations, most meals and essentially all other costs associated with participation.

To review the proposed itinerary and learn more about the program visit the People to People Ambassador Program Web site.
