The APRN Breakfast and Summit offers educational content specifically tailored to neonatal nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists. The Time is Now: Cultivating Environments where Everyone Can Flourish opening keynote speaker Susan Luparell, PhD, RN, CNE, ANEF discusses the challenges of incivility, poor teamwork, and a lack of collegiality, and how these things threaten our professional goals and result in decreased job satisfaction, burnout, and even patient harm. Closing keynote, A Peaceful Departure: The Role of Medications in End of Life Care with speaker Emma L. Ross, PharmD, BCPPS – NICU/LD Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will cover the role medications in end-of-life settings for neonatal patients, help to prepare you for managing end-of-life care in neonates and infants across gestational ages, will arm you with information on available routes for administration, options for escalation, and provide you with a framework for dosing medications often used for comfort care.

Don’t miss Improving Outcomes: Integrating Developmental Therapies into Neonatal Nursing with Susan Cohen, MD; Alix Brickley, MM, MT-BC (NICU-MT); Maria D'Amore, PT; Jennifer Hofherr, MS OTR/L, CNT, NIDCAP Trainer presenting on the integration of developmental care in the NICU and how it is best implemented within a multidisciplinary framework.

New POCUS Sessions Available at NANN in Anaheim, But first POCUS: Using Point of Care Ultrasound in Your Everyday Practice (Beside Nurse) and But first POCUS: Using Point of Care Ultrasound In your Everyday Practice (NNP) will provide both nurses and advance practice providers with an introductory hands-on educational opportunity on using procedural POCUS in the NICU.
