NANNP Council Chair

Cheers to big dreams in 2024! I hope you all saw the 2023 year in review NANN recently posted. If not, check it out on the NANN website. It is exciting to see our overall numbers grow, conference attendees increase, and for us later this quarter, a new name!

Early 2024 will see the APRN scope of practice paper published. We have also developed a how-to paper to help you use the various position statements to your advantage. NANNP will continue the shout-outs to our advanced practice colleagues with our APRNs You Should Know. If you have a colleague you want to publicly thank for their hard work, simply share their name, contact info and a short descriptive paragraph and send it to This email address is being protected from spambots. Mark your calendars for September 17, 2024! NANNP is busy planning our own all-day APRN focused conference prior to the start of the main NANN conference. Although the main conference will also have APRN content, our day will have hands-on experiences, topics appropriate for our Level I and Level II colleagues, a focus on pharmacology and physiology, plus hints on what’s new in neonatal care. Our new APRN Summit Taskforce is hard at work planning an amazing experience for you!

These accomplishments and many others required quite a bit of background work on the part of our staff, the Board of Directors and Council. This is my own shout-out to everyone who worked so hard in 2023 to set up our big dreams for 2024!
